Hokie SuperFans get excited. The Hokie men's basketball team opens play against Garner-Webb at Cassell Coliseum on Friday. The Hokies are picked to finish sixth in the ACC. Of course, the Hokies always do better when medioctity is expected.
The Lady Hokies kicked off their season yesterday. Playing against the Peach State Elite, a team of former college players, in an exhibition game, the Lady Hokies lost 79-70.
The ladies also open up regular season play on Friday as the women's and men's teams will host a double header. The Lady Hokies will face UNC Greensboro at 6:00 PM.
